Murti, North Bengal

Murti

Murti is very beautiful place in north Bengal. Murti is the name of a river flowing down from the Kalimpong hills. It is a place situated besides the same river in the Chapramari Forest of Gorumara National Park.
The above picture is of Murti - Banani Guest house of West Bengal Forest Development Corp. Ltd.
Murti is situated 18 km from New Mal Jn. which is a nearest railway station, as well as 74 km from Siliguri.
Gorumara National Park & Chapramari Wildlife Sanctuary are about 35 km from Murti.


The next picture is Jaldhaka Hydrolic project, this is situated near Jhalong (Bindu) in Indo-Bhutan border, this is about 52 km from Murti.
The Area is surrounded by high mountains.
